Job Summary
Boutique law firm located in Sherman Oaks, CA, currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our team and support our attorneys in delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage and conduct the client intake process, including initial client contact, screening potential new matters (PNMs), scheduling consultations, and maintaining intake records.
- Serve as the first point of contact for new and existing clients—respond to inquiries via phone and email.
- Assist with discovery preparation, document review, and organization for litigation matters.
- Draft and format routine discovery correspondence, and forms.
- Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on cases and tasks.
- Support attorneys in day-to-day operations and case management.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a legal assistant or legal administrative role preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
- Technologically proficient: Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, legal practice management software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar), and standard office technology.
- Legal knowledge: Familiarity with legal terminology, basic court procedures, and legal document formatting.
- Professional demeanor, discretion, and a client-service mindset.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.88 - $28.76 per hour
