<Job Summary>
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and legal support across a variety of practice areas, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient case management. <Duties>

  • Assist attorneys with legal research, document review, and drafting of legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Manage case files using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accurate data entry, filing, and retrieval.
  • Conduct thorough legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case strategies across diverse practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and UCC law.
  • Prepare and proofread legal documents with precision; transcribe dictations and ensure all materials meet high standards of accuracy.
  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and handling phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Assist with document review for litigation cases; organize evidence and prepare summaries for attorney review.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, courts, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely progression of cases.

<Skills>

  • Extensive knowledge of multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and UCC law.
  • Proficiency in legal case management software such as iManage and PCLaw; familiarity with document management systems like Westlaw and LexisNexis.
  • Strong research skills with the ability to efficiently gather relevant legal information from various sources.
  • Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents; meticulous proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy.
  • Experience in legal administrative support including data entry, filing systems management, transcription services, and clerical tasks.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members.
  • Project management capabilities to coordinate tasks effectively across different cases or practice areas. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
