Legal Assistant (Hybrid, 30 hours/week)

Location: Lake Oswego Oregon, Kruse Way

Schedule: Hybrid – approximately 2 days in-office / 2 remote (flexible)

Hours: Part-time, approx. 30 hours per week

About Us:

We’re a small, friendly law firm focused on construction defect litigation, dedicated to providing practical, high-quality legal service to our clients. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our close-knit team and support two attorneys in managing case files, client communication, and litigation tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide administrative and legal support to two attorneys handling construction defect matters
• Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, and discovery documents
• Organize, maintain, and update electronic and physical case files
• Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and court filings
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors
• Assist with trial and mediation preparation
• Assist in document production
• Perform time-entry and client billing
• Light administrative duties such as AP, AR, managing vendors and services.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Proficiency with timekeeping and billing software. (Sage Timeslips a plus)
• Experience with electronic LEDES billing to insurance companies.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with a positive, proactive attitude
