We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case preparation and strategy.
- Manage legal case files and documents efficiently using document management systems.
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memos, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry to ensure accuracy in case files and records.
- Support project management activities by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and organizing client interviews or consultations.
- Maintain organized filing systems for both physical and electronic documents in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, answering phone inquiries with professional etiquette, and performing clerical tasks such as transcription and proofreading.
Qualifications
- Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience is required.
- Strong knowledge of various practice areas including personal injury and construction law is preferred.
- Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Experience with case management software is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrated writing skills with attention to detail in legal drafting and proofreading.
- Strong communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to perform data entry accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
