Legal Assistant (Bilingual Spanish)

We are a client-focused law firm dedicated to helping individuals navigate Social Security Disability and other related benefits. We are currently seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Legal Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a high volume of client interactions and case management duties with professionalism and care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation and management for Social Security Disability claims and related matters.
  • Communicate with clients, government agencies (SSA), and medical providers.
  • Draft legal documents, letters, and forms.
  • Maintain accurate case files and update internal case management systems.
  • Gather medical records and evidence needed to support claims.
  • Schedule appointments, hearings, and follow-ups.
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and other staff.
  • Translate documents and interpret conversations for Spanish-speaking clients as needed.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is REQUIRED.
  • Previous experience in a legal setting or working with Social Security Disability claims is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn legal software.
  • High level of professionalism and empathy when dealing with sensitive client matters.

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 – 28 per week
