High-volume, fast-paced Florida traffic ticket and criminal defense law firm is seeking a full-time remote Legal Assistant.
This role is critical to the firm’s operations and focuses on accuracy, organization, and follow-through in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain accurate client and case information in CRM software
- Prepare pleadings (Notice of Appearance, Motions, etc.)
- Electronically file pleadings through the Florida e-filling portal
- Track case progress, court dates, and results
- Communicate case updates and results to clients
- Communicate with judicial assistants, state attorneys, and court staff
Secondary Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and return missed calls when needed
- Speak with prospective clients and gather basic information
- Request and review photos of tickets, licenses, or court notices
- Assist with quotes, payments and confirmation emails
- Follow up with potential clients when needed
- Troubleshoot and resolve client concerns with professionalism
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Prior experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative assistant preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Comfortable working with structured processes and systems
Requirements
- Bilingual required: Fluent in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Stable work history preferred (2+ years in prior roles)
- Reliable computer, smartphone, and high-speed internet connection
- Comfortable using technology, including Microsoft Outlook and CRM systems
- Willingness to use firm tools such as RingCentral
- Dedicated workspace free from noise and distractions
Pay: $17.00 per hour
