Legal Collections Specialist (Garnishments, Skip Tracing and Collection Calls)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Collections Specialist with strong

knowledge of Georgia garnishment law, service of process protocols, and skip tracing techniques.

This role is critical to ensuring efficient recovery of outstanding debts while maintaining full legal

compliance.

Only candidates with relevant legal collections or garnishment experience will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

-Calling past due accounts

- Manage and execute collections on assigned accounts

- Prepare, file, and monitor Georgia garnishments in compliance with state law

- Coordinate and track service of process activities

- Perform advanced skip tracing to locate debtors and assets

- Communicate professionally with debtors, attorneys, and courts

- Maintain accurate documentation and case records

- Ensure all actions comply with FDCPA and applicable state regulations

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in collections, preferably in legal or judgment enforcement

- Strong working knowledge of Georgia garnishment laws

- Familiarity with service of process procedures

- Demonstrated expertise in skip tracing tools and techniques

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously

- Proficiency with collections software and public records databases

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with attorneys or within a legal environment

- Knowledge of post-judgment enforcement processes

- Familiarity with court filing systems in Georgia

Compensation & Benefits:

- $16–$21 per hour (based on experience)
