Job Title: Legal Consultant
Location: United Arab Emirates
Reports To: Group CEO / Managing Director
Position Overview
The Legal Consultant will provide expert legal advice and support to the Group and its subsidiaries across all business sectors. The role involves ensuring compliance with UAE laws and regulations, drafting and reviewing contracts, managing litigation cases, and advising management on legal risks and strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities1. Legal Advisory
- Provide legal guidance on corporate, commercial, labor, real estate, and civil matters.
- Advise management on legal implications of business strategies, operations, and contracts.
- Monitor and interpret new laws, regulations, and government policies affecting the Group’s operations.
2. Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, NDAs, agency agreements, and supplier/service contracts.
- Ensure all legal documents and agreements are accurate, up-to-date, and protect the company’s interests.
- Maintain an organized database of all contracts and legal documents.
3. Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Manage and coordinate external legal counsel on litigation and arbitration cases.
- Prepare case summaries, statements of claim, defense documents, and other related submissions.
- Attend court hearings and government departments when necessary.
- Track progress of ongoing legal cases and report regularly to management.
4. Compliance and Corporate Governance
- Ensure full compliance with UAE Federal Laws, labor laws, free zone regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee company licenses, registrations, and renewals.
- Develop internal legal policies and compliance procedures to mitigate risks.
- Support the Board and senior management with governance documentation.
5. Risk Management
- Identify potential legal and regulatory risks across business operations.
- Develop mitigation strategies and recommend preventive measures.
- Provide training and awareness sessions to staff on compliance and legal topics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university; Master’s or LLM preferred.
- Minimum 7–10 years of legal experience, with at least 5 years in the UAE.
- Experience in corporate, commercial, and labor law is essential.
- Strong knowledge of UAE Civil and Commercial Code, Federal Laws, and free zone regulations.
- Proficiency in Arabic and English (reading, drafting, and communication).

Preferred Industry Background
- Contracting, Construction, Manufacturing, or Trading sectors.
- Experience handling group structures with multiple legal entities is an advantage.
