Job Description:

We are seeking experienced Legal Consultants (Cyber Law & Criminal Law) to support the I4C Legal Section. The candidates will be responsible for drafting legal documents, monitoring court cases, preparing reports, and assisting in all legal and cybercrime-related matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

The Key Role Includes:

  • Creation of legal bulletins and preparation of draft counters.
  • Timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Checking the Cause List for cases filed against I4C and providing updates on the posting of matters.
  • Following up on compliance of court orders and directions.
  • Preparing legal briefs and maintaining complete documentation records.
  • Drafting proposals related to the Legal Section of I4C.
  • Monitoring movements of files related to the legal section.
  • Providing assistance to the Senior Legal Consultant for important legal matters.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in handling criminal cases and cyber law matters.
  • LLB/LLM completed with specialization in Criminal Law, Cyber Law, or Digital Forensics.
  • Strong understanding of New Criminal Laws, IT Act 2000, and other laws related to cybercrime.
  • Relevant certification in Cyber Law / Information Security, with knowledge of IT Act, Evidence Act, Intermediary Guidelines, and RBI–NPCI Liability Guidelines (desirable).
  • Knowledge and practical exposure to key legislations including:
  • Indian Penal Code (IPC), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS)
  • Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS)
  • Indian Evidence Act, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA)
  • Prevention of Corruption Act
  • PMLA, NDPS, and other special criminal laws
  • Experience in handling cases related to data breaches, unauthorized access, online fraud, cyberstalking, hacking, and digital impersonation.
  • Knowledge and experience in drafting legal notices, FIRs, complaints, responses, and legal opinions related to criminal and cyber laws.
  • Excellent drafting, research, and advocacy skills.
  • Strong coordination abilities with LEAs, judiciary, and cyber forensic teams.
