Legal Counsel

AKSA, a company of Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a capacity of 350.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to support our legal operations.

Qualities We Are Looking For;

• Registered with a valid bar association in Turkey and holding an active attorney's license,

• At least 10 years of professional experience in Corporate Law, Commercial Law, Capital Markets Law, Contract Law, and Law of Obligations,

• Previous experience working in publicly traded companies or large-scale corporate structures is preferred,

• Familiarity with CMB, Borsa Istanbul, and KAP regulations, with experience in corporate governance processes,

• Advanced proficiency in English (enough to handle contracts and correspondence).

Your Main Tasks Are;

• Managing all legal affairs and transactions of the company and coordinating legal matters related to the subsidiary.

• Ensuring legal oversight of the agenda, decisions, and documents related to Board of Directors, General Assembly, and Committee meetings.

• Providing legal support and consulting in processes involving the Capital Markets Board (CMB), Borsa Istanbul, and other public authorities.

• Preparing, revising, negotiating, and preparing for signature contracts related to the company's activities.

• Ensuring the execution of litigation, enforcement, and arbitration processes, and coordinating with external advisors to monitor these processes.

• Closely monitoring legislative changes and providing proactive legal guidance to relevant departments.

• Conducting legal risk analyses related to the company's strategic decisions and reporting them to management.

• Managing communication with domestic and international law firms, consultants, and institutions as necessary.

• Contributing to the implementation of corporate governance principles, compliance processes, and ethical standards.

• Monitoring and managing trademark, patent, license, and intellectual property processes.

• Coordinating with external consultants within the scope of KVKK, competition law, and sanctions legislation.
