Position Summary
The Legal Counsel will be the primary legal advisor for our U.S. operations, providing comprehensive support on matters involving:

Sales and distribution of energy storage and EV charging products in the U.S. market

Manufacturing operations and supply chain activities at our Ohio factory

Labor and employment matters affecting U.S. teams

Regulatory and compliance issues across federal and state jurisdictions
This role requires a proactive, business-oriented attorney who can partner effectively with cross-functional teams, support a growing clean-energy business, and ensure the company’s U.S. operations remain compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial and Sales Support

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, master supply agreements, distribution agreements, and reseller agreements.

Advise on contract performance, risk allocation, warranty issues, product liability exposure, and regulatory compliance affecting energy storage and EV charging products.

Provide day-to-day legal support to U.S. sales, technical, and management teams.
Manufacturing and Factory Support

Support legal matters arising from operation of the company’s U.S. factory in Ohio, including purchasing, logistics, quality control, and safety and environmental compliance.

Coordinate with operations and EHS teams to help ensure ongoing compliance with applicable manufacturing, safety, and environmental regulations.
Labor and Employment

Advise on U.S. labor and employment issues, including hiring, performance management, terminations, employee relations, and workplace policies.

Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Compliance and Regulatory

Monitor and advise on federal and state regulatory developments affecting renewable energy, electronics manufacturing, and EV charging equipment.

Provide guidance on Buy America/Build America (BABA) compliance and related government procurement requirements (preferred).

Manage and coordinate with external counsel as needed on specialized regulatory or litigation matters.
Qualifications

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.

Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.

Minimum 3+ years of relevant legal experience, either in a law firm or in-house (in-house or manufacturing/energy experience strongly preferred).

Solid experience in commercial contracts and at least one of: labor and employment, manufacturing operations, or regulatory compliance.

Experience working with cross-border teams and international stakeholders preferred.

Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Strong business judgment and ability to provide practical, actionable legal advice in a fast-moving environment.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
