We are seeking a recent law school graduate or current law student with an anticipated graduation date of May 2026 to join our team as in-house Legal Counsel. As in-house Legal Counsel on our team, you will work closely with Corporate Legal Counsel in providing legal support and guidance. The position would entail the following areas or practice:

• Labor and Employment
• Commercial Leasing
• Commercial Collections
• General Business
• Working with outside counsel for civil litigation, worker’s compensation, trademark & patent.

We will invest in training, resources and guidance.

Essential Functions of Positions

• Research and aid in evaluating different risks regarding business decisions and operations
• Apply effective risk management and offer proactive advice on potential legal issues, staying abreast of alterations in applicable legislation
• Provide accurate and timely legal counsel to management
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties fostering relationships
• Draft and review agreements, contracts and other legal documentation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:

• Business and legal operations as well as legal principles, corporate law, and practices
• Company policies, procedures, and overall mission and vision
• Computer programs such as MS Office – Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Internet Explorer

Skilled in:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate across different functions of the organization with the appropriate level of detail and in a timely manner
• Active listening by giving full attention to what others are saying, asking appropriate questions and not interrupting at inappropriate times
• Analyzing data, information, and situations accurately with a strong attention to detail to develop the proper course of action needed to be taken
• Efficient problem-solving and critical thinking while utilizing sound judgment
• Time management, prioritization and organization

Ability to:

• Accurately multi-task and adhere to any deadlines set
• Thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment with minimal supervision in a high degree of professionalism and integrity

Experience and Education:

• Law degree from an accredited law school, or working towards a license to practice law
• Minimum 1 year experience practicing law in a law firm or in-house legal department as corporate counsel preferred
