Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our legal team and provide expert guidance across a broad spectrum of legal matters. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, managing legal risks, and supporting strategic initiatives. Your expertise will help safeguard the organization’s interests while fostering a proactive legal environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, highly organized, and possesses a comprehensive understanding of various legal disciplines to navigate complex issues confidently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive legal advice on diverse areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, Real Estate, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities and IP law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents to ensure clarity, compliance, and risk mitigation.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research utilizing tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions.
  • Manage and oversee litigation processes, coordinate with external counsel when necessary, and monitor case developments.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance related to environmental standards, tribal regulations, and other relevant statutes.
  • Develop and implement policies that align with legal requirements while supporting organizational goals.
  • Maintain meticulous records of legal activities and administrative processes within the law office environment.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law.
  • Proven experience in multiple legal disciplines including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, tribal law & regulations, litigation, and patent law.
  • Strong research skills using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for comprehensive legal analysis.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear legal drafting and detailed reports.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills to facilitate agreements that benefit all parties involved.
  • Prior experience working in a busy law office or legal administrative environment is highly desirable.

Pay: $76,940.66 - $92,659.72 per year
