Conduct legal research and stay up to date on laws impacting the organization including healthcare, patient privacy, real estate, employee matters, and security.
Develop and edit legal and compliance trainings, presentations, and written materials for the organization.
Assist with ongoing litigation matters.
Review contracts, agreements, policies, and other documents.
Review outside requests for records, including subpoenas.
Support the work of the PPMM’s Compliance, Risk, and Quality Management program, including the implementation of policies, procedures, and systems.
Assist with HIPAA investigations and reporting obligations.
Represent PPMM at key stakeholder meetings.
Organize and maintain documents for the legal department.
Provide administrative and organizational support as needed and adhere to internal systems for recordkeeping and information sharing.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
3-5 years relevant experience.
Admission to the CA or NV State Bar or ability to obtain admission in a reasonable time.

Demonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve, multi-task, work independently, and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Westlaw.
