Legal Counsel / Legal Executive (Licensed, English & Chinese Speaking)

We are seeking a **legally qualified and licensed legal professional** to support our corporate services operations and liaise with clients, external law firms, regulators, and banks. The role requires **fluency in both English and Chinese**.

Key Responsibilities

Legal & Corporate Matters

* Handle and oversee corporate legal matters, including:

* Company incorporation, restructuring, and dissolution

* Corporate governance and statutory compliance

* Preparation and review of corporate documents (resolutions, agreements, NDAs)

* Support and coordinate licence applications (e.g. gaming, fintech, financial or other regulated licences)

* Review legal advice provided by external law firms and ensure alignment with client
and business needs

* Maintain corporate records, compliance calendars, and statutory filings

Client, Regulator & Third-Party Coordination

* Act as a legal point of contact for clients, law firms, regulators, and banks

* Assist with KYC, AML, and due diligence documentation for banks and payment providers

* Follow up on legal deliverables, timelines, and fees with external parties

Bilingual Legal Support

* Draft, review, and translate legal and corporate documents between English and Chinese

* Support bilingual communication with clients and counterparties

* Ensure accurate and consistent legal terminology in both languages

Requirements

Legal Qualification

* Legally qualified and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (e.g. admitted lawyer, solicitor, attorney-at-law, PRC Legal Professional Qualification, or equivalent)

* Law degree (LLB or equivalent) is mandatory

Experience

* 2–6 years of post-qualification or relevant legal experience in:

* Law firms (corporate / commercial / regulatory), or

* Corporate services, compliance, or in-house legal roles

* Experience dealing with corporate, regulatory, or licensing matters

Language

* Fluent in English (written and spoken)

* Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) (written and spoken)

Skills & Attributes

* Strong legal drafting and review skills

* Good commercial awareness and practical mindset

* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

* Comfortable managing multiple jurisdictions and matters

* Professional communication and client-handling skills

Preferred
(Nice to Have)

* Experience in regulated industries (gaming, betting, fintech, payments, financial
services)

* Exposure to multi-jurisdiction corporate structures

* Prior experience working with international clients
