Job Summary
GNA Energy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Securities Lawye
r with 4–5 years of post-qualification experience. The role involves handling end-to-end legal matters related to securities laws, capital markets, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
The ideal candidate will provide legal advisory across transactions, ensure regulatory compliance, manage stakeholder coordination, and support the organization in navigating complex legal and regulatory frameworks.
Responsibilities – Litigation Management & Regulatory Strategy

Develop and execute the company’s litigation and regulatory risk strategy across securities, capital markets, and corporate law matters.

Lead end-to-end management of disputes, enforcement actions, and regulatory proceedings, including matters involving:

SEBI and Stock Exchanges
-
RBI / FEMA authorities (as applicable)

Corporate and commercial courts, tribunals, and appellate bodies

Act as the central legal strategist for all securities-related investigations, inspections, show cause notices, and adjudication proceedings.

Assess legal exposure, probability of outcomes, financial risk, and reputational impact for ongoing and potential litigation matters.

Design and implement proactive compliance and risk mitigation frameworks to prevent regulatory breaches and future disputes.

Oversee and coordinate external counsels, senior advocates, forensic advisors, and consultants, including briefing strategy, monitoring performance, and controlling legal costs.

Drive litigation strategy.

Represent management in regulatory interactions, hearings, negotiations, and settlement discussions, where appropriate.

Monitor evolving regulatory enforcement trends and judicial precedents to recalibrate the company’s risk posture and business practices.

Prepare litigation dashboards, risk heatmaps, and executive reports for senior management and Board oversight.

Support internal investigations, evidence preservation, and coordinated responses to regulatory or judicial actions.

Integrate litigation strategy with corporate governance, disclosure obligations, and overall compliance architecture.

Advise leadership on strategic legal positioning in high-stakes regulatory, enforcement, or public-interest matters.

Build and maintain internal protocols for document management, regulatory communications, and dispute escalation.
Qualifications

LLB from a recognized university; LLM preferred.

4–5 years of post-qualification experience in: Capital markets / securities law firm teams, or Listed companies, financial institutions, NBFCs, or investment firms.

Strong understanding of Indian securities and corporate law framework.

Excellent legal drafting, interpretation, and advisory skills.

Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
