We are partnering with a leading Saudi group to appoint a Legal Director to oversee legal and commercial matters across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects.
This is a senior role for a Saudi qualified lawyer who combines deep knowledge of the full project lifecycle from design and procurement through construction and completion, with strong experience managing contentious construction matters, including claims, variations, and disputes.
Key Responsibilities

Lead on all legal aspects of major development and construction projects, advising across contract negotiation, project delivery, and dispute management.

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of construction, consultancy, EPC, and development agreements.

Manage contentious issues including delay claims, variations, defects, and payment disputes, working closely with project teams, external counsel, and senior management to achieve commercially effective resolutions.

Oversee external lawyers on litigation and arbitration, ensuring strategies align with business objectives.

Provide proactive legal support to project directors, commercial teams, and procurement, ensuring sound risk allocation and contract administration practices.

Strengthen internal governance, claims management, and compliance processes to enhance project delivery.
Requirements

Saudi-qualified Lawyer holding an LLB and LLM from recognised university.

6–10 years PQE, gained in a top-tier law firm, developer, or contractor.

Strong technical understanding of construction contracts, project delivery frameworks, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

Proven experience handling contentious construction matters, including claims management, settlement negotiations, and coordination of arbitration or court proceedings.

Strong command of both Arabic and English, with excellent drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Commercially minded, confident engaging at senior levels, and adept at balancing legal and operational priorities.
