Legal Director - Digital Assets & Stablecoin Ecosystem

We are currently partnering with a highly strategic digital assets platform in the UAE that is building a regulated stablecoin ecosystem linked to the Digital Dirham initiative.

This is a senior legal leadership opportunity for an experienced legal professional with strong exposure to fintech, banking, payments, or digital assets within regulated environments.

The role will sit across multiple SPVs and work closely with executive leadership, regulators, financial institutions, and technology partners to build and maintain a robust legal and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead legal strategy and governance across the stablecoin ecosystem
• Advise on digital asset structures, regulatory frameworks, and legal risk
• Draft and negotiate agreements with banks, custodians, PSPs, exchanges, cloud providers, and infrastructure partners
• Support regulatory engagement and interpretation of CBUAE requirements
• Oversee corporate governance, board matters, and statutory compliance
• Manage legal risk, disputes, external counsel, and data protection matters
• Advise on technology contracts, APIs, custody infrastructure, validators, and ecosystem integrations

Requirements

• 10-12 years PQE within fintech, banking, payments, or digital assets
• Strong experience in commercial contracting and regulatory interpretation
• Exposure to regulated financial services environments
• Understanding of digital asset legal frameworks and technology infrastructure agreements
• Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
