Key Responsibilities:
- Handle tenant litigation cases, including eviction, unauthorized occupation, rent recovery, and redevelopment disputes.
- Draft and respond to legal notices, pleadings, affidavits, written statements, and settlement terms.
- Represent the company before civil courts, small causes courts, tribunals, and municipal authorities.
- Manage disputes under Maharashtra Rent Control Act, Transfer of Property Act, and relevant real estate laws.
- Review and draft key documents: Agreements for Sale, Development Agreements, Lease/License Agreements, MoUs, and Power of Attorney.
- Assist with RERA compliance, project registration, and drafting of Allotment Letters and disclosures.
- Coordinate with external counsels, maintain legal documentation, and follow up on ongoing litigation.
- Participate in negotiations with tenants in redevelopment and slum rehabilitation projects.
- Knowledge of BMC related guideline, ability to handle BMC related issues , coordination with officer whenever required.
- Conduct due diligence for land and property acquisitions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- LLB from a recognized university (LLM preferred for Legal Manager role).
- 3–10 years of legal experience, preferably in real estate and tenant litigation.
- Deep understanding of tenancy law, redevelopment law, RERA, land laws, and municipal regulations.
- Strong command of legal drafting, court procedures, and litigation strategy.
- Ability to handle legal proceedings independently.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
