A diversified conglomerate headquartered in DIFC, with business interests across multiple sectors is looking for an experienced Legal Manager to lead and oversee the Group's legal affairs across its subsidiaries in the UAE, Middle East, and Asia. The role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and extensive exposure to multi-jurisdictional legal frameworks. He / She would report to the Group General Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the full spectrum of legal affairs for the Group and its subsidiaries
- Act as In-House Counsel, handling day-to-day legal matters including litigation and arbitration
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multi-jurisdictional legal team
- Provide strategic legal advice by assessing legal, compliance, and business risks
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documentation
- Manage and negotiate investment contracts, particularly in real estate and development projects
- Oversee company formation, structuring, and legal setup locally and internationally
- Handle intellectual property registration, licensing, and protection across jurisdictions
- Manage legal disputes, including court proceedings, pleadings, and witness coordination
- Advise on corporate governance, policies, and regulatory compliance
- Support management in asset acquisitions and contractual negotiations
- Coordinate with external law firms to ensure effective legal representation
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB); LLM preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a Legal Manager / Legal Advisor role within a corporate or group structure
- Strong background in litigation, arbitration, and corporate legal advisory
- Proven exposure to multi-jurisdictional environments (UAE, Middle East, Asia)
- Expertise in contract management, real estate transactions, and investment structures
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
- Bilingual proficiency preferred (Arabic and English)
