Job Description:

Role Overview: The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters of the organization. This role involves close coordination with regulatory authorities, including the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), police departments, and other government agencies. The incumbent will manage court cases, legal documentation, and ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations while providing sound legal advice to management and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities: Liaison and Compliance: Liaise with the BMC, police stations, and other government departments on regulatory, licensing, and compliance-related matters.

Ensure the company’s operations and activities are compliant with all local, state, and central laws.

Litigation Management: Handle court-related matters, including civil, criminal, and regulatory cases. Coordinate with external advocates and legal counsel for case preparation and

Manage court documentation, filings, and follow-up of proceedings. Ensure timely compliance with court orders, judgments, and directives.

Contracts and Documentation: Draft, review, and vet legal documents, contracts, agreements, and MoUs.

Safeguard the company’s interests in all contractual relationships. Advisory and Support: Provide legal advice and support to internal teams across departments.

Identify potential legal risks and recommend preventive measures

Government Liaison:

Coordinate with relevant government bodies and local authorities for permits, approvals, and dispute resolution.

Maintain effective working relationships with external stakeholders, ensuring smooth handling of official communications.

Reporting: Keep management informed of legal risks, case statuses, and regulatory updates

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution (LLM preferred).

Proven experience in handling corporate legal matters, including liaison with BMC, police stations, and government agencies.

Strong knowledge of civil, criminal, and corporate laws.

Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
