Wheeler Law PLLC is a boutique immigration and family law firm dedicated to Breaking Barriers, Building Futures for our clients and our community. We are expanding our Family Law division and seeking a passionate Licensed Legal Paraprofessional who embodies our commitment to client-centered service, innovative problem-solving, and equitable access to justice.

At Wheeler Law, LPs work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff while maintaining the autonomy and authority granted by the Arizona Supreme Court to manage and advocate for their own caseload.

Key Responsibilities

In alignment with our CREER values, the Family Law LP will:

  • Provide-centered legal advice within the authorized LP family law scope.
  • Guide clients through complex family dynamics with empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Draft, sign, and file pleadings including petitions, motions, responses, and settlement agreements.
  • Represent clients in family law hearings permitted under the LP license
  • Prepare clients for mediation, interviews, and court proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, guidelines, and court rules.
  • Review disclosure, manage deadlines, prepare evidence, and organize case files.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to develop efficient workflows and effective case strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Arizona Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LP) with Family Law endorsement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Arizona Child Support Guidelines, ARS Title 25, and Maricopa County Local Rules.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and courtroom communication skills.
  • Commitment to Wheeler Law’s CREER values in every client interaction and internal team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a family law practice setting (firm, court, or legal services).
  • Familiarity with case management and time/billing systems (MyCase).
  • Spanish bilingual skills strongly preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
