Stradley Ronon is hiring a Legal Practice Assistant in our Trusts & Estates Department. This position will reside in the Malvern office and will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative and substantive legal support to the Trusts & Estates Department in an environment where superior client service is emphasized. This position will provide significant learning opportunities through routine engagement with attorneys and legal professionals, while preparing you for the next chapter in your professional career.
Responsibilities:
Establish, organize, and maintain physical and electronic case and client files;
Support the development and management of projects and practice group timelines;
Coordinate communication and planning across attorneys and paralegals handling multiple client matters;
Assist with research and compiling, drafting, proofreading, and editing various materials;
Provide administrative support, including, but not limited to, document production, business intake materials and expense forms/paperwork;
Maintain financial records for use in preparing tax returns and fiduciary accountings;
Assist with the review and filing of fiduciary income tax, inheritance, and estate tax returns;
Prepare various projections and calculations used for financial, tax, and estate planning purposes;
Provide support with electronic filing in a variety of courts and administrative offices;
Draft and assist in the preparation of meeting minutes;
Coordinate and participate in day-to-day client management;
Assist with check writing and mail processing;
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required;
1+ year(s) of legal or professional services industry experience a plus;
Independent, self-starting, and self-motivated;
Superior written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment are a must;
Exceptional organizational skills;
Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and balance multiple tasks while operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion;
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn law firm-specific software as needed.
