Legal Runner

Morris Laing Evans Brock & Kennedy, Chtd. is seeking a part-time Legal Runner who will be responsible for a variety of responsibilities, including processing of all incoming and outgoing mail, serving as the Firm’s courier, and assisting with coverage of receptionist and secretarial duties. While at work, the Legal Runner will be “on call” at all times, and will be moving consistently around the office and around town. Candidates must be dependable, organized, and professional.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail
• Serve as courier for the Firm and Firm employees
• Deliver court filings as required by staff
• Provide front desk coverage for receptionist
• Provide professional telephone coverage
• Assist with secretarial projects and filing
• Maintain all public areas in Firm (conference rooms, reception, break room, etc.) in clean, organized, and well-stocked condition

Qualifications: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills

• Motivated attitude, must take initiative to seek out new tasks
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to observe complete confidentiality for all client and Firm matters
• Ability to work in a professional atmosphere with all Firm employees
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Reliable vehicle with auto insurance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
