<Job Overview>
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support an attorney in personal injury and mass tort cases. Your proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and deep understanding of legal procedures will contribute significantly to our firm’s success.
<Responsibilities>
- Provide direct administrative and litigation support to Mr. Binstock
- Draft, revise, and format legal correspondence and documents
- Manage attorney calendar, including hearings, deadlines, and meetings
- Coordinate court filings (state and federal) and ensure compliance with deadlines
- Organize and maintain case files (electronic and physical)
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel professionally and efficiently
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibits, binders, and logistics
- Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks across multiple cases
<Skills>
- Strong understanding of personal injury and mass tort law
- Proven experience with legal administrative tasks including document review, drafting contracts, proofreading materials, transcription services, and file management
- Proficiency in document management systems document review platforms to streamline case workflows
- Experience with case management systems (experience with NuLaw/Salesforce is a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Superior written communication skills for drafting clear legal documents and correspondence
- Effective phone etiquette coupled with professional interpersonal skills for client interaction and internal communication
- Ability to perform detailed research using Westlaw or LexisNexis to support case development
- Experience in clerical functions such as filing, data entry within a law office setting
