Legal Secretary / Paralegal

Who We Are: We are a family owned, well-established loan servicing company, currently in our 40th year of operation in Newton Falls, Ohio. We purchase portfolios of consumer and commercial loans in various stages of performance.

What You’ll be Doing: You will be preparing and filing court documents, ensuring accuracy and on-time submission; preparing settlement documents and borrower communications; aiding in-house counsel in keeping track of deadlines; and performing other duties as requested.

Who You Are:

· A problem-solving mindset, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a keen interest in learning

· 3+ years experience as a paralegal and/or legal secretary

· Knowledge of real estate and/or creditor's rights law helpful but not required

· Ability to learn and adhere to compliant collection practices and appropriate Federal and State laws governing our industry

· Professional written and verbal skills

· Excellent proofreading skills

· Keyboarding/typing proficiency

· Demonstrated proficiency with Word and Excel and a willingness to learn new software applications

· Knowledge of collaboration tools preferred

· Maintain regular and predictable attendance

· Must pass a background check

Job Details:

· Pay commensurate with experience

· Full-time (40 hours), on-site, day shift Monday through Friday
