The Orenda Center of Wellness is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Legal Services Assistant to support our Inpatient Legal Liaison. This role is responsible for assisting with all legal-related needs of residential inpatient clients, including matters involving courts, criminal cases, and other legal obligations while clients are in Orenda care.
This position plays a critical role in ensuring clients remain supported, informed, and compliant with legal requirements during their treatment stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Inpatient Legal Liaison in managing client legal matters
- Communicate with courts, attorneys, probation officers, and other legal entities as directed
- Coordinate and track legal documentation, court dates, and compliance requirements
- Provide direct client support related to legal processes and expectations
- Maintain accurate records and updates for each client’s legal status
- Assist with ongoing legal-related projects and follow-ups
- Ensure timely and professional communication with both internal staff and external partners
Position Details:
- Hours: up to 25 hours per week
- competitive starting hourly rate ($18 to $21)
- 1.5 Weeks - PTO per year with rollover options

- Standard Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10am / 11am – 3p / 4p (with flexibility as needed)
- On-Site Requirement:
- Must be present at each residential facility twice per week
- Buckeystown (MIP) - Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Sabillasville (WIP) - Mondays and Wednesdays
- Friday on-site availability as needed for client time sensitive situations
- Remote Work:
- Ability to work remotely for calls, coordination, and project-based tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in client services, case management, or administrative support required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- GED or high school diploma - minim requirement
- Ability to pass a background check & drug screen
- CPR/First Aid Certified (preferred)
- Understanding of HIPAA and behavioral health services
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable coordinating with legal systems and external agencies
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong professional boundaries and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
- Experience in behavioral health, legal support, or healthcare settings is a plus
