Experience: 3+years of relevant experience in mortgage lending (LAP/Home Loans) in Banks/HFCs/large NBFCs (e.g., HDFC, ICICI Bank, PNB Housing, Bajaj Housing, Aditya Birla Housing, Tata Capital Housing, Five Star, Aptus Housing, Veritas, etc.).

Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in any discipline. Law degree (LLB) highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies: In-depth knowledge of property laws, Transfer of Property Act, SARFAESI Act, Registration Act, RERA, and local stamp acts.
Compensation: depending on current CTC+ performance bonus

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations: (End-to-End Mortgage Processing)
Oversee complete loan origination to disbursement cycle for Loan Against Property (LAP), Home Loans and Construction Finance.

Manage Central Operations team (C-KYC, credit appraisal coordination, login, sanction, legal & technical verification, disbursement, post-disbursement documentation & mortgaging).

Ensure 100% compliance with RBI/NHB Fair Practices Code, KYC-AML guidelines, and internal turn-around-time (TAT) SLAs.

Drive process digitization, LOS/LMS implementation, and workflow automation.

Vendor management for C-KYC, fraud control, and disbursement-related agencies.

Monitoring of pre- and post-disbursement deviations and resolution.

2. Legal Management:

End-to-end handling of legal due-diligence for mortgage loans (title search, encumbrance verification, deviation approval).

Coordination with empaneled advocates / law firms across locations.

Drafting, vetting, and standardization of loan agreements, mortgage deeds, guarantee deeds, tripartite agreements, etc.

Creation and registration of equitable & registered mortgage; tracking of original property documents.

Handling legal notices, SARFAESI proceedings (Section 13(2), 13(4), possession notices), DRT/Securitization applications, and recovery litigation.

Liaison with local sub-registrars, revenue offices, and municipal corporations for mortgage registration and release.

3. Technical Valuation & Property Assessment:
Manage panel of empaneled valuers across geographies.

Review technical valuation reports, approve deviations, and decide realizable value / forced sale value.

Conduct periodic market intelligence on real estate trends and update valuation guidelines.

Ensure compliance with internal technical policy and RBI guidelines on valuation frequency and methodology.

Handle re-valuation in NPA accounts and auction processes.

4. Risk & Compliance:

Ensure zero deviation in legal & technical due-diligence to avoid future NPA surprises.

Monitoring of insurance of mortgaged properties and tracking of premium payment.

Periodic audit of original property documents custody and vault management.

Preparation of MIS for legal, technical, and operational deviations for Risk & Board reporting.

5. Team Management & Stakeholder Coordination:
Lead a team of 12–25 members (operations executives, legal managers, technical managers).

Cross-functional coordination with Credit, Sales, Recovery, Finance & IT teams.

Represent the company in industry forums on mortgage lending best practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹600,000.00 per year
