Legal Technology Trainer

Hybrid: Based out of any of our California offices

We are seeking an enthusiastic, service-oriented Legal Technology Trainer to join our firm’s Learning & Development team. This role focuses on delivering engaging, practical technology training to attorneys and professional staff, supporting onboarding and promoting firmwide adoption and effective use of core systems. This position is ideal for an early-career professional who is eager to learn, develop their skills and build experience in legal technology training.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver in-person, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions.
• Support new hire onboarding by providing technology orientation and foundational system training.
• Develop, update, and maintain training materials, including quick reference guides, tutorials, and other learning resources.
• Provide day-to-day support assisting with technology adoption, workflow questions, and basic troubleshooting to promote efficiency and confidence in the use of firm systems.
• Assist with the planning and execution of technology rollouts, upgrades, testing, pilot programs, and implementation support.
• Coordinate training logistics, calendars, and administrative follow-up as needed.
• Track training attendance, completion, and feedback, and help evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
• Stay current and aware of emerging technologies, including AI tools and legal technology trends.
• Contribute to a positive, responsive, and client-service-oriented learning environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in technology training, instructional support, legal technology, help desk support, or a related role preferred.
• Experience in a law firm environment preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Experience with document management systems such as iManage or comparable systems.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and approachable way.
• Ability to deliver training effectively in in-person, hybrid and virtual environments.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional presence, sound judgment, patience, and a strong service mindset.
• Working knowledge of artificial intelligence, automation, and workplace innovation, along with a genuine interest in continuing to learn and grow in these areas.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience creating e-learning content or instructional videos using tools like Articulate, Camtasia, or similar software.
• Learning management system knowledge, including Aderant viLMS or equivalent systems.
• Knowledge of CCC Macro Pro (Crowther Macros) or similar legal macro packages.
• Practical knowledge and experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.

Hanson Bridgett offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The annual salary for this California-based role is anticipated to be in the area of 68,000 - $90,000, and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation is negotiable and will depend upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.
