Role Description

The Legionella Plumber at GMS Services Ltd will undertake plumbing remedial works to ensure the compliance and safety of water systems. Responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and servicing of water systems, as well as identifying and rectifying Legionella hazards as per regulatory standards. The role requires attendance at client sites to conduct work, provide expert advice, and ensure systems meet health and safety requirements. This is a full-time remote role with periodic travel primarily within your working region.

Qualifications

• Strong plumbing skills including installation, repair, and maintenance of water systems
• Knowledge of Legionella control methods and compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidelines
• Experience conducting risk assessments and implementing plumbing remedial works for Legionella control
• Ability to read and interpret water system schematics and technical documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• City & Guilds or NVQ in Plumbing or equivalent trade qualification
• Full driving license and willingness to travel to client sites
• Previous experience working in water hygiene or Legionella control is highly desirable
