Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement instructional design strategies to engage students in FIRST Lego League Discovery, Explore or Challenge levels.
- Create lesson plans and educational materials that align with principals of FIRST Core values, engineering, coding, project management and team building.
- Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles.
- Provide academic advising and guidance to students regarding course selection and career paths.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback on assignments and assessments.
- Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure a positive learning environment.
- Utilize behavior management strategies to maintain classroom discipline and promote a respectful atmosphere.
- Provide individual or small group tutoring to students who need additional support.
- Stay updated on current research and best practices in education.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering/Mathematics or related field .
- Teaching certification or relevant experience coaching
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and strategies.
- Familiarity with education accommodations and modifications for students with diverse learning needs.
- Ability to utilize library services and research tools to enhance instruction.
- Strong interpersonal skills for mentoring and building relationships with students.
- Experience in scientific research or data analysis is a plus.
