Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and patient instructors to lead small-group LEGO robotics and coding classes and camps in a fun, structured, and supportive environment.
About Us
We are a hands-on STEAM education studio offering LEGO robotics, coding, and engineering programs for children. Our programs incorporate supportive AI tools to help students build confidence, problem-solving skills, and creativity through interactive, project-based learning.
Duties
- Teach LEGO robotics and coding using provided lesson plans. Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and support to help students understand complex concepts
- Guide students through building, programming, testing, and debugging
- Support students at varying skill levels and learning speeds
- Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment. Maintain a safe, organized classroom (setup, cleanup, kit care)
- Keep brief notes on student progress and class observations. Provide feedback on lesson pacing, curriculum, and engagement
- Communicate clearly with staff and families as needed.
- Promote teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring children or adults in STEM-related subjects or coding environments
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to motivate diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain technical concepts in an accessible way
- Knowledge of LEGO robotics kits (such as LEGO Mindstorms or SPIKE Prime) and basic programming languages like Scratch or Python is preferred.
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt lesson plans based on student needs and skill levels
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Reliable, patient, and positive attitude
- Comfortable teaching students ages 5-12
- Experience or interest in working with AI tools, large language models, or machine learning concepts in an educational or project-based setting
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with LEGO Education
- Familiarity with platforms such as Scratch, Minecraft, or Roblox
- STEM, engineering, computer science, or education background
- Comfort working with students of diverse learning needs, including children on the spectrum
- Flexible, adaptable teaching style across ages and skill levels
Schedule & Compensation
- Weekday afternoons and at lease one day of the weekends
- Seasonal camps during school breaks
