LEV Testing Service Engineer Extraction Ventilation Systems HVAC

Our Company is based in Sheffield but we require an engineer in the North East to cover client visits in that area and Scotland where required.

Our team of 35 people operate nationwide dealing with Local Exhaust Ventilation equipment and its statutory requirements. A function of our business is to carry out statutory Local Exhaust Ventilation tests to improve Health and Safety equipment in workplaces and ensure workers are not exposed to hazardous fumes and dusts which can affect their health. We operate in a diverse range of applications including Nuclear sites, Airports, Manufacturing, Education and Small businesses.

LEV Testing & Site Work

  • Complete a weekly schedule of site visits around the North East and Scotland when required .Schedules are available weeks in advance to give you home life flexibility.
  • Start off projects in line with company procedures
  • Keep the Site Supervisor fully informed of progress and adhere to all procedures
  • LEV Test all systems as required by BOHS P601 standard (DSEAR, P602/P604/W201 training provided if required)
  • Working to tight time scales to complete jobs on time
  • High standard of workmanship and service is required

Training and Supervision

  • BOHS P601 qualification, IPAF and PASMA cards would also be advantageous
  • To complete all training as deemed appropriate to your job role, includes bespoke in house training to comply with legislation.
  • You will use you initiative to make an expert opinion on site, you will be an expert communicator and be confident in your judgement to make sound engineering decisions. This will be backed up by in house mentorship to progress your abilities.
  • Driving license, commitment to Health and Safety, a high standard of customer service, good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative to overcome site problems are requirements

Starting Salary - £35,000 per annum payable monthly in arrears dependent on qualifications and experience. BOHS qualification attracts a higher wage.

Monday-Friday schedule. 50 hours per week.

Annual Holiday Entitlement is 20 days per annum plus statutory holidays, which will increase by an extra day's holiday for each continuous year of service following the first anniversary of employment and there after each January, up to a maximum of 5 additional day's per annum. 10 extra holidays are awarded after 10 years service.

Company van, tools, phone, laptop, printer and credit card are supplied.
