Level 1 Medication Aide

Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Level 1 Medication Aide, where you'll play a vital role in administering medications, cooking and cleaning. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with staff to ensure residents receive safe, timely medication administration while providing compassionate care. Duties

  • Assist with medication administration following prescribed protocols and legal guidelines
  • Prepare, distribute, and document medications accurately.
  • Monitor residents’ vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in condition during medication rounds
  • Support patients with activities of daily living, including other personal hygiene tasks
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding patient status, medication schedules, and any concerns related to care or safety
  • Provide compassionate caregiving support tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities, or other memory impairments

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of assisted living environments, residential care facilities, nursing home procedures, hospital protocols, and home care practices
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs in diverse settings such as residential care.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing skills including vital signs measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and families while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while demonstrating a caring attitude toward residents’ well-being
  • Knowledge of medical records management, and medication administration best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
