Level 1 or 2 Security Officer Full Time/Part Time

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Duties

• Monitor premises through CCTV and surveillance systems to detect and prevent any suspicious activities or breaches of security.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security measures are being followed.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Document incidents and prepare reports as required for management review.
• Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary, providing them with relevant information regarding incidents on the premises.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when needed, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on-site.
• Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potential disputes or disturbances.
• Participate in loss prevention initiatives by identifying vulnerabilities and recommending improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and their operation is highly desirable.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
• Familiarity with loss prevention techniques is advantageous.
• Must possess a valid security officer certificate or be willing to obtain one upon hiring.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
