Level 2 Diesel Mechanic

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Level 2 Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks, as well as farm equipment including tractors, loaders, and other agricultural machinery, along with pickups and small gas engines.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

· Diagnose, repair, and maintain medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks

· Service and repair agricultural equipment including tractors, loaders, and farm machinery

· Perform maintenance and repairs on pickups and small gas engines

· Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical systems

· Perform structural repairs including welding as needed

· Conduct brake inspections and perform brake system repairs on heavy-duty vehicles

· Utilize diagnostic software and tools to identify mechanical and electrical issues

· Complete work orders accurately and in a timely manner

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

· Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications & Requirements

· Proven experience working on diesel trucks and agricultural equipment

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains

· Ability to work independently with limited supervision (self-starter)

· Basic computer skills for diagnostics and work order systems

· Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor

· Must have a complete set of tools to perform required repairs

· High school diploma or GED required (technical training preferred)

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Certification in brake inspection and installation on heavy-duty vehicles preferred

· Strong references from previous employers

Compensation & Benefits

· Pay Range: $22.00 – $28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
