We're actively seeking a
Quality Mechanical Inspector
for an immediate opening in
Miami, FL
. This is an up to
6-month contract
position with potential for extension. The role is
full-time on second shift (3pm- 11:30pm),
Monday through Friday. We are looking for associates with strong precsion hand tool experience and the willingness to learn AS13001 standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct visual, physical, and dimensional inspections (both in-process and final) of machined parts, per project specifications and requirements

Perform incoming inspections from external providers of products and services

Conduct in-process and final inspections of critical features, including witness inspections

Compile final inspection sign-off sheets and inspection packages
-
Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and ensure inspection methodology is in line with drawing intent

Review and validate the justification for parts not inspected at final inspection

Audit and validate the execution of inspection plans as applicable

Document non-conformances using approved methods and submit non-conformance reports for customer disposition

Work within the Quality Management system and undergo basic training on policies and procedures

Document inspection results in our record retention system
Qualifications:
-
Previous mechanical inspection experience
-
Experience with AS9102 (FAI)

Experience with Certification of Conformance
-
Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection plans and protocols

Experience with the use of precision measurement tools and equipment
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings
-
Ability to work effectively within a quality management system
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Certified or previously certified in GD&T ASME Y-14.5

Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering

Knowledge of mechanical contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
-
5 years of experience in Manufacturing industry, with 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector

Experience with AS 1301 requirement ( Delegated Product Relief Release, DPRR)
