Advance Fleet Services is looking for a highly skilled Level A Diesel Technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly and fixing them right the first time. This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who can work independently, handle complex diagnostics, and set the standard for quality in the shop. What You’ll Do Advanced:
Diagnostics & Repair
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting on diesel engines, trailers, and fleet equipment
- Handle jobs that go beyond basic service; this is where your expertise matters
Quality Workmanship
- Complete repairs accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision
- Ensure all work meets company and industry standards
- Stand behind your work, reducing comebacks and repeat repairs, Preventative
Maintenance & Inspections
- Perform thorough inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Complete preventative maintenance services with attention to detail
Team Support
- Assist and mentor junior technicians when needed
- Collaborate with the Service Manager and team to keep workflow moving
- Communicate clearly about job status, parts needs, and potential delays Shop Responsibility
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Follow all safety procedures and best practices
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of hands-on diesel technician experience
- Strong diagnostic skills (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic)
- Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently
- Experience with fleet maintenance and repair
- Own tools required (specialty tools a plus)
- CDL and/or certifications are a plus, but not required
