LGS ARFF SPECIALIST FULL TIME

The ARFF Specialist will ensure that emergency equipment is continuously maintained in a high state of readiness; provide currency training as necessary; provides rapid response to emergencies; provides first aid to ARFF victims as necessary. Performs other duties as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Posses a valid drivers license and be able to pass an MVR background check
• Certified EMR
• Certified Ohio Firefighter II
• Ability to pass a Medical Pulmonary Function test and annual OSHA physical
• Ability to bend, stoop and manipulate tools and tight spaces
• Work in adverse outdoor weather conditions
• Wear respirator safety equipment as indicated
• Lift objects weighing up to 65 pounds
• Posses excellent communication skills
• Perform work at heights

Preferred Skills:

• 1 year experience responding to medical emergencies
• Experience in the testing and inspection of building sprinkler and alarm systems per NFPA standards
• Able to complete 40 hour ARFF course if not certified
