LGV 1 HIAB DRIVER

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled LGV 1 HIAB Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a large goods vehicle with a HIAB crane, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a professional driver with experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed loads, and the ability to handle complex loading and unloading tasks. Responsibilities

• Safely operate LGV 1 vehicles equipped with HIAB cranes to deliver goods across designated routes.
• Load and unload cargo using the HIAB crane, ensuring secure and proper handling of all items.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen issues.
• Ensure compliance with all road safety laws, company policies, and health & safety regulations during all operations.

Requirements

• Valid LGV 1 licence with a clean driving record.
• CPC + Tacho card
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles and deliveries involving HIAB cranes.
• Demonstrable knowledge of safe lifting techniques when operating the HIAB crane.
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo safely.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently under time constraints.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and customer service standards.

Shift patterns will include, days, nights and weekends so Flexibility is key for this role due to the nature of our deliveries. Payment is made on a self employed basis.

Pay: £17.00 per hour
