LGV Class 1 Driver - Day Work

We are seeking a reliable and skilled LGV Class 1 Driver for curtainside work, to join our long established transport company . The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with road safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a lorry to transport goods to various locations as scheduled.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to weight limits and securing loads properly.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
• Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate class for operating a LGV Class 1.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles.
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
