Librarian

Librarian - Khawr Fakkan, UAE

We are currently seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Khawr Fakkan, UAE. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the library's resources, including books, periodicals, and electronic media.

Responsibilities:
- Organize and classify library materials using appropriate cataloging systems
- Develop and implement library policies and procedures
- Assist patrons in locating materials and provide reference services
- Acquire new materials for the library collection through purchases or donations
- Manage the library budget and keep records of expenditures
- Create displays and programs to promote the use of the library's resources
- Train staff members on how to use library resources effectively
- Maintain the physical organization of the library, including shelving books and processing returns
- Collaborate with teachers to support classroom instruction through resource selection and curriculum development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems and online databases
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
- Biometric passport or valid work visa for UAE
