Librarian

Librarian job vacancy in El-Ain, UAE for a skilled professional in a library.

El-Ain is looking to hire a Librarian to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, organization, and maintenance of the library. They will also provide information services to patrons and ensure the library's resources are utilized effectively.

The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience working in a library setting. We are open to considering applications from immigrants for this position. The salary for this role is 1300 per month.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of library resources, including digital resources;
• Overseeing cataloging and classification of books and other materials;
• Assisting patrons in finding information or materials within the library;
• Providing instructional sessions on topics such as book selection, retrieval of information from databases, etc.;
• Organizing book drives and fundraising events;
• Supervising staff members;
• Resolving conflicts between patrons or staff members;
• Creating policies that govern the use of the library resources;
• Maintaining accurate records on membership, circulation, budgets, etc.;
• Participating in professional organizations related to libraries.

The successful candidate will possess excellent customer service skills as well as strong organizational skills with an eye for detail. They should also have a good understanding of different computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). They should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal with a good command over the English language.
