El-Ain Library is seeking an experienced librarian to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining library functions and resources.

This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. The successful candidate must have a deep knowledge of library principles, practices, procedures, and the latest trends in library technology.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth operation of library services to patrons
• Monitor library collections and keep records of circulation
• Acquire new library materials when needed
• Maintain accurate records of funding requests and expenditures
• Provide reference assistance to patrons
• Provide training to staff members on library operations
• Assist with cataloging new materials as they arrive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or equivalent professional experience
• At least two years' experience in a public or special library setting
• Outstanding computer literacy with the ability to use various software packages related to the field of librarianship
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal politely with patrons from diverse backgrounds

Salary: 1600 AED/month
