The librarian is a professional who oversees the University School’s library collection and instructional programs and provides the leadership and expertise necessary to ensure that the school library program is aligned with the mission, goals, and objectives of the school, and is an integral component of the learning and instructional program.
Work requires working with highly sensitive or confidential information. This role requires stamina for a full day of student instruction and supervision, frequent hand use for writing and typing, and occasional bending, lifting up to 40 pounds, and physical interaction with students for safety. Clear vision, effective verbal communication, and emotional stability under pressure are essential.
