What You’ll Do

Heartland AEA is seeking a dedicated Library Assistant to join our team for the 2026–27 school year. The Library assistant will provide students, educators, and staff with access to well-maintained instructional materials (physical and digital). This is a 12 month position working 199 days. The schedule will be Monday-Thursday August through June and 2 days a week in July.

What We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with computers and basic programs such as Word and Excel and online databases.
• Experience working in a library is preferred.
• A background check is a condition of employment.
• Preferred but not Required: Appropriately licensed/certified by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, including an endorsement as a K-12 School Teacher Librarian.
