Library Assistant - Children's

Musser Public Library is seeking an energetic library assistant to work in the area of youth services assisting with programming and reference activities. We're looking for candidates whohave a bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), an ability collaborate, and a desire to help improve literacy and sense of community. This is a part time position with minimum starting pay of $24.89/hour and great benefits including IPERS,paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays. Experience working in a library, good computer skills, and excellent customer service skills are highly desired. Experience to provide excellent customer service, interact effectively with children and teens, work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends, and provide youth services reference information is necessary.
