Charges and discharges library materials to the public; registers borrowers; resolves inquiries/complaints concerning the circulation of materials; shelves and retrieves library materials; processes library materials and links them to a computerized database.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of experience in library/general clerical work,

Graduation from high school/equivalent; minimum of 12-semester/18-quarter hours of college-level coursework (must specify on application).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

Experience working in a library circulation/member services section/bookstore,
Experience handling cash,
Experience using an automated circulation system (must specify system used on application),
Experience providing assistance with self-service technology (must specify on application), and
Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
