Charges and discharges library materials to the public; registers borrowers; receives payment for Palm Tran Paradise passes and tech devices; resolves inquiries/complaints concerning the circulation of materials; shelves and retrieves library materials. Processes library materials and links them to a computerized database.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires qualified applicants to process one of the following:

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of college-level coursework (must specify 60-semester/90-quarter hours),

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of one (1) year of college-level coursework (must specify 30-semester/45-quarter hours) AND one (1) year of experience working in a library,

Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of experience working in a library.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications include:

Experience working in a library/bookstore,
Experience working in a retail/hotel providing in-person customer service,
Experience working with computers,
Experience handling cash and/or as a cashier/teller, and
Experience using an automated circulation system.
