Job Title: Library Clerk 230
Salary: Consistent with the existing collective bargaining agreement salary schedule
Reports to: Building Principal
Hours: 7:50-3:05 School Day w/ Summer hours (adjusted schedule during summer months)
Building: District Schools (travel between buildings required)
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
To support daily library operations across multiple school buildings with a commitment to helping students and staff access library resources efficiently.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee daily library circulation, including checking materials in and out

Maintain accurate records of library inventory and student accounts

Assist students and staff in locating books and using library resources

Shelve and organize books, ensuring materials are properly cataloged

Support basic library programming and classroom needs as assigned

Travel between assigned buildings on a consistent schedule

Ensure timely arrival and dependable presence at each location

Assist with end-of-year procedures and summer library operations

Work adjusted summer hours as required by the district

Attend Accelerated Reading Training to support and assist with the program implementation
REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent required
-
Prior library, school, or clerical experience preferred
-
Strong organizational and time management skills
-
Ability to travel reliably between multiple school locations

Comfortable working with children in an educational environment
-
Basic computer skills and familiarity with library systems a plus

Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
ADDITIONAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ATTITUDE:

Google Suite and Microsoft proficiency preferred
